Structural Changes
Purpose: This policy aims to ensure the safe, orderly, and consistent management of structural changes within our condominium community, protecting both individual property values and the collective interests of all owners.
Scope: This policy applies to all structural changes, renovations, alterations, or additions affecting both common property (areas owned jointly by all owners) and individual owner units.
Definitions:
Structural Change: Any modification that alters the load-bearing elements of a building, including but not limited to walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, columns, beams, foundations, and exterior walls.
Common Property: Areas within the condominium complex owned jointly by all unit owners, including hallways, lobbies, elevators, exterior walls, roofs, gardens, and recreational facilities.
Owner Unit: The individual living space owned by a unit owner, including the interior walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures within the unit boundaries.
Procedure for Structural Changes:
Notification:
Owners intending to undertake structural changes must notify the Strata Council in writing, providing detailed plans, specifications, and timelines for the proposed work.
